Gun Shop Gig Entitled Mother wants a gun.

As I stated in the past in my previous post

https://maxpowers00.blogspot.com/2021/01/security-job-overseas.html

I am a security consultant and play filler for many different security companies.

I got a call from John telling me that a chain of gun stores and Army surplus stores

were looking for a security guard. But the location is in Texas near the border of  Mexico.

Which requires that the person fly all the way to the location.

Stay in a shit hotel for a week and eat at fast food joints.

However the company pays for hotel, food, transport and emergency stuff.

No one on staff wants to accept this job.

So I arrive at the location and find the supervisor talking to Frank.

Frank says " I refuse to fly all the way to some hick ass town in bum fuck nowhere."

I asked " What are you talking about?"

The supervisor tells me about the job in Texas.

I asked " Do you guys cover expenses?"

Supervisor nods

I asked " What does this Job pay? "

Supervisor says " Two or Three Thousand...."

I asked " Which one? "

Supervisor says " If you stay for a work week two grand. A full week is three grand."

I say " I will accept the job."

The next day I am on the flight to Texas.

When I arrived at the location the clients daughter picked me up.

The motel was across the street from the job sight.

The first day I went over to the hunting supply store I found

someone from another security company already there.

He told me that normally one guard was enough but a massive sale on

Glock's was coming up.

They had Glock 11's and up for sale during this week only.

However those cleared to used Semi automatic fire arms

could purchase the elusive Glock 18.

I asked about how one would get such a clearance.

He told me that the local gun club which had a paid member ship often

hosted NRA funded events.

This gun club had a shooting range and a members only pool with fund raising pot luck events.

The gun range required that you take a gun safety course first.

However this gun club was also an NRA recruiting site.

A bunch of rich white guy who enjoy shooting guns? Perfect.

So the NRA sent down a representative to take over this gun safety course

and open it to the public. To do so they had to form the Texas gun safety board.

The day to day operating cost was funded by local government.

But the flashy gun safety course was mostly funded by the NRA.

The rep brought in flashy exciting weapons to sell the idea that owning guns

and being in the NRA was awesome.

They even got a hold of a mini gun from a former helicopter pilot.

This guns are awesome display made locals excited to buy guns.

If you passed this course you were cleared to buy any gun you liked.

I got the feeling the NRA was giving bribes to those who didn't

tell the certification holder that the paper they showed them was useless.

Any how due to this excitement for guns.

The owner of this shop got a hold of a bunch of Glocks and Glock clones.

After he opened the door a line from outside flooded into the store.

Each gun was $500.00 with a NRA membership card the guns were $200.00....

However the Glock 18 clones were exclusively for certification holders.

These consumers just got the basic Glock or shotgun.

Some got a gun add on such as a scope or laser sight.

The first day was uneventful.

The only event that happened is a woman came in to buy a Glock 15 but refused to fill

out Firearms Transaction Record, or ATF Form 4473, is a six-page form prescribed by the Bureau of

Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) required to be completed when a person proposes

to purchase a firearm from a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder, such as a gun dealer.

She said the form was to long and complex so we asked for her NRA membership information.

First and Last name.. Date of birth... Social Security Number...Address...

She provide this information and we used it to fill out the 4473 form.

So after that we just started asking people for there NRA information to get a discount

on their purchase and using that information for the 4473.

So I posted a sign that reads have your NRA information prepared.

Everyone responded to questions and provided documents.

So yeah the first day was uneventful.

The second day was uneventful.

The third day was uneventful.

The fourth day was uneventful.

Day five was uneventful

Day six was uneventful

But day seven was odd.

It was the final day of the sale and most of the Glocks are sold out.

I noticed that as the owner was going over the remaining Glocks.

He had five Glock 15s and five Glock 17s.

The Glock 17's didn't sell very well because they were Glock clones.

They seemed to be a totally different gun.

When the shop opened there was a large line leading out the front door.

https://www.reddit.com/user/Wolf-man-420/comments/kt7sjr/i_am_a_security_guard/

It was four hours into the sale and the man behind the counter

said " I only have ten Glocks left." The line erupted in anger and people started yelling.

I hear " I have the right to protect myself you asshole! "

So my security partner closed the outside door.

Closed it. Not locked it.

The ten some what eager people in the store keep buying

up the last of the unloaded glocks.

When the outside door is forced open.

It was not dead bolted yet. But it had a eye hook locked.

But this 400 pound beast used her weight to pull open the door.

The door came off the hinges.

The eye hook flue free and the door came loose

This Karen comes into the store ignoring the broken door.

She marched over and asked for a glock.

The salesmen says " We sold out." She insisted. He kept saying " Sold out."

" I want a glock for my son."

" We are sold out lady."

" My son got all C's in school and I want to reward him with a new gun

for this upcoming hunting season. So sell me one."

" We are completely sold out of Glocks. Can I get you something else."

She looked around and saw the Glock on my hip.

She said " Give me that one." He says " I can't. "

After her repeating sell me it and I kept repeating No.

I realize I am distracting this lady.

Eventually the police arrived.

The officer who enters is a good old boy with a hat and everything.

He says " Dear god what happened here? "

Karen says " He refuses to give me his gun."

Karen points to the gun I am carrying.

Good old boy shakes his head and escorts ( Half heartedly dragged)

Karen to his police SUV and stuffed her in the door of he back seat

She was taken away from the store.

An as I said " She hardly fit in that SUV"

The store owner started laughing.
